Founded in 2007 in London, the Delfina Foundation (DELFINA) develops interrelated programmes of residencies and public events, promoting critical discourse around global contemporary practices. DELFINA currently facilitates cultural exchange with the greater Middle East and North Africa through its programmes for artists, curators and writers and by forging international collaborations that extend outside of the region. Over the last twenty-five years, the “Delfina” brand has become synonymous with artistic development. Renowned art patron Delfina Entrecanales established the organisation as the successor to her previous initiative, the Delfina Studio Trust, which held an unprecedented record in the international art world for nurturing and supporting over 400 artists and more than a dozen Turner Prize nominees. www.delfinafoundation.com
Maryam and Edward Eisler Foundation
Established in 2011 to promote art to a wider general audience by supporting existing institutions and their arts-centred programmes. In order to help enlighten and educate the arts community at large and the general public in particular, the foundation is presently funding curatorial positions in established institutions and places of higher education, contributing to artists’ residency positions, supporting exhibitions and arts-related conferences, as well as sponsoring art publications, talks and debate platforms. The foundation is pleased to be funding the Programme for Cultural Curatorial Practitioners (PCCP), which aims to mentor a future generation of Middle Eastern curators while supporting the infrastructural development of the region’s fledgling arts institutions.
