Dr. Anthony Downey is the Programme Director of the M.A. course in Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London. He is the editor of www.ibraaz.org, an on-line research forum for the Middle East and North Africa, and he sits on the editorial board of Third Text.
Anthony has given interviews for CNN’s African Voices programme and the BBC’s Islam and the Popular Imagination. He also contributed to Iran Beyond its Borders (1960-2010) as part of the Bruges Cultural project “Horizons”. In 2009, he was appointed external assessor for the revalidation of the Royal College of Art’s MA in Curating Contemporary Art programme.
